How do I bring a marketplace chaplain into my business?

What is the role a marketplace chaplain can play within my business?
These question plague believers who want to share their love yet being safe in not pushing their beliefs onto their co-workers and employees. Making someone available provides the opportunity for individuals to seek advise with chaplain or from an outside source.

Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise.

48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
It takes a willing employer that knows his call in life is to provide not only financially to his employees but also to give them a chance to have spiritual guidance in theirs lives. This may just be why GOD has provided you with the business to further HIS kingdom like only you can.
Many employers feel helpless in helping out their employees in life's decisions. They feel like taking them aside and giving them spiritual counsel is jeopardizing their boundaries as an employer.
An employer may still be able to hurdle this obstacle with the right person in place.

What is the role a marketplace chaplain can play within my business?
The role a marketplace chaplain needs to play within a business is one of a desire to draw close to others and not be intimidated to do some work. He or she must be able to share life with others not just someone sitting waiting for others to come to them. Also not one who is easily offended by language, remarks or looks. Someone who has confidence in a role that only he or she is called to do.
How can the marketplace chaplain fit in?
Funny but we all would all like to fit in but only few are chosen. With the right talent for the right job one is able to fit in quite easily. A chaplain should be one who is not looking to be promoted on the the floor but satisfied with the call upon his or her life to serve. Being someone who is put into position by co-workers for a real ear to listen and counsel if need be.
This is a really great position for someone who is retired or just wanting to work within this type of setting and knows the call of servant-hood. Many times a person looks to serve but limits themselves on how to.
Example: if you were a professional painter all your life and go work for a friend who owns a paint store or a painting company because of your talent in that field be a part of the team at the bottom and see how you can help. With the experience helping them to be promoted.

Marketplace Testimony
Chaplains a rare breed of individuals.

It takes a willing servant of Christ to take a position that is below him/her to provide guidance in a serving way. Knowing your going to get dirty with people who don’t know Christ, using the teaching received in your home church and applying them in the world.
John 13:12

I would like to share with you a journey on how by the grace of GOD in one company I believe GOD is being let to be GOD.
A few years back I had the opportunity to meet a brother in Christ who owns a company. As I am a small business owner too, but with no employees, I had asked him if I could pick up a few hours at his shop while my business picked up a bit. He agreed to introduce me to his plant manager, also a believer. Because of his work load and knowing that I came out of the same industry they both agreed to let me come on board.
Being one who knows that we are to be light in dark places I made my new place of employment home. It just happen by faith that I knew one of the employees that worked there. He was my witness and my testimony to my past life before Christ. Never shy to share what I do or who I know I started to enjoy my knew friendships. Through conversations everyone came to know that I was a small business owner and a chaplain. It was great when they asked what is a chaplain. My response was: by the looks of you all none of you go to church nor do you know a priest, pastor, minister, etc. well I go to the UN-churched and I can preform a marriages and also a funerals. The reception I got was awesome they were encouraging to say the least. They had a chaplain working with them. They are not believers but are very encouraging.
Once the knowledge of what I did floated around the shop at the end of my shift I would punch out and go to around individually and talk to people about my life and if they wanted theirs with me. (I did this with the owners full backing, this is vital to the relationship.) Little by little people started praying for various things that where out of their control. That is when GOD shows up. Whether the situation got resolved in the favor or the one praying or not the comfort of the Lord became present. Yes there was loss but loss with the Lord is much different than that without the Lord. Blessing of people becoming cancer free also became a bigger thank you to the Lord when we prayed. Not everyone was willing to pray at first but in the Lords timing we all take a moments to acknowledge HIM and give thanks.
Again this can only happen when believing employers can see the benefit of having employees being able to get off their chest what they need too. After time we have been able to laugh and cry together. I have learned about the compassion of Christ. I believe the company on a whole is learning the love of Christ in ways maybe we, including me, has never understood before.
